Between the Rocks and the Sea- a beautiful retreat in North Scotland
Come and enjoy the far north of Scotland at our veggie/vegan bed and breakfast in Skerray (near Thurso). Skerray means ‘between the rocks and the sea’ which we thought was a wonderful name for our bed and breakfast. Between the Rocks and the Sea is about 10 minutes walk from Torrisdale beach, a stunning sandy beach about 1 and a half miles long on the North Coast. Two rivers flow into the sea here: the River Naver and River Borgie.
We have two lovely double bedrooms with a shared bathroom with a free standing bath to luxuriate in. A cosy lounge, rustic dining room and a veggie/vegan chef…what more could you ask for on the north coast of Scotland?!
There are pony trekking stables at Torrisdale beach and there is an indoor swimming pool at the local village (Bettyhill). There are amazing beaches all along the coast and world class surfing! As you go along the coast, you can visit Skerray harbour and head over to Smoo caves just outside Durness. The cave boasts one of the largest entrances to any sea cave in Britain at 50 ft high and is floodlit inside, the caves can be visited by boat. Find out more about the area here.
Between the Rocks and the Sea is also available as a holiday rental
when we are not running it as a bed and breakfast. A relaxing home from home in a stunning, peaceful location, what better place to come and unwind? The house has two double bedrooms, 2 family bathrooms, one with a shower over the bath, a lounge with a logburner and a separate dining room with an oil fired rayburn and a well equipped kitchen. There is a large private garden and the house is situated in the scottish countryside close to the wonderful Torrisdale beach. Free wifi is available. We start you off with fuel for your first fire in the logburner, after that, you are welcome to have more fires but you will have to supply the fuel.
The cost for bed and breakfast is £70/room (2 people) or £55 (single occupancy). For more information or to book, please contact Andy or Lauren on 01641 521728 email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
